Content Outage Notification

Due to recent performance issues we have been experiencing with the BETA platform, we will be carrying out some maintenance this afternoon at 15:00. This means that no new article content will be available on the system for approximately 90 minutes from 15:00 to 16:30. Access to the front-end components will remain but you may experience intermittent request failures during this period. The maintenance should take no longer 1h30m but will advise if we finish sooner.

Unplanned Outage Announcement

We are currently experiencing a service incident which requires an unplanned outage of all eClips Web BETA services. We are treating this as a high-priority but access to all services will be disabled for the duration of this outage.

We will be carrying out emergency maintenance against the eClips Web BETA environment today at 14:00. We expect this maintenance work to be completed by 16:00.

This maintenance will address the slow Payload Orchestrator response issues that some of you have reported.

Telegraph.co.uk Editorial Freeze scheduled due to Web Platform Maintenance

Telegraph.co.uk are running maintenance work on the Web Platform tonight, which means there is an editorial freeze scheduled between 25/03/2010 22:00p.m. (GMT) and 26/03/2010 03:30a.m. (GMT). No content will be updated on Telegraph.co.uk WebSite for the duration of this work and consequently the eClips Web telegraph.co.uk feed will not be updated during that period.

The NLA will not be actively monitoring the progress of this work overnight, but we will check the status of the Telegraph.co.uk during business hours on the 26/03/2010. We will update you via the blog if any issues arise but we do not anticipate any as the inbound CMS feed will merely be suspended for the duration of this work.

eClips Web BETA is now LIVE

We are pleased to inform you that the NLA has launched it's BETA version of eClips Web today.

We are starting with the following website titles but will be adding additional website titles over the coming weeks:

All of the relevant testing documentation can be found here: http://blog.nla-eclips.com/ecwdocs/. We recommend reviewing the Getting Started, Test Guide and Known Issues documents before you begin testing. We have also included Publisher Profile document which detail known issues that we addressing in the feed supply. These can be found in the Publisher Profile document store. Also please note that the API & XML Specification has been updated.

For those of you already signed up for the BETA, our Client Services team will be contacting you shortly with Access credentials and details. If you haven't signed up yet but are interested in taking part please contact Nikki Daniel.

Feedback is vital! We’d like to hear from you regarding all aspects of eClips Web. To help you do this we have created an online form: Bug/Feature Request Form. Issues will be monitored, by the NLA, throughout the day.

In order to keep you updated with our progress and answer any technical/design questions that you may have, our Customer Services team will be scheduling follow-up meetings for mid-April with all BETA participants.

BETA Start postponed

We have regretfully decided to postpone the beta launch date by one week.

Due to a number of last minute bug fixes and enhancements, the NLA is now taking delivery of the “beta build” of eClips Web on Monday 15^th March. As a result, we need to conduct full end-to-end testing of this build before release.

Rest assured this is not due to any significant issue with the system, but will simply save MMO effort and resource flagging bugs that the NLA should be identifying and addressing in advance of release.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

We have created a BETA specific FAQ section under the eClips Web blog, where we have listed the most commonly asked questions and their answers for you convenience.
